BOLIVIA
The Bolivian National Police is the main security force in the State of Bolivia. It was created on June 24, 1826 by a regulatory law issued by Marshal Antonio José de Sucre, almost a year after the Declaration of Independence of Bolivia. It has the specific mission of the defence of society and the preservation of public order, through compliance with the laws of the national territory. It is estimated to have approximately 40,000 police officers.
