Many modellers are looking for further inspiration for modelling aircraft. The modelling of non-traditional topics is much neglected, yet offers the modeller huge options, away from purely military subjects. Forces as police, security, border guards, coastguards, fire fighting and other civil units operate a bewildering variety of both fixed and rotary-winged aircraft, providing plenty of scope for highly attractive schemes, many of which still retain "fighting" components. They can also satisfy the more "bloodthirsty" amongst us with plenty of opportunity to mount guns, missiles and other ordnance. I am aiming to cover most countries but, due to the vastness of usage by police forces in the USA, I'm temporarily not including them - just too much work for one person! Any volunteers?

This website is intended to act both as an encouragement for modellers to explore this much-neglected area, and as a resource to help the growth of the IPMS (International Plastic Modellers' Society) Special Interest Group "Airborne Police and Security Forces - Worldwide". We aim to be exhibiting at model shows and would welcome contributions from all (both highly skilled and not-so-highly skilled) modellers who'd like to support us.
